needless to say, its a total complete blast!! ((:
the preparation for the food and beverages segment started as early as 12pm. jingyi, samuel and shawn was awaiting my arrival (yesh, i was late!). hurhurhur. applaude to jingyi, who braves his feverish state and risk his life shopping for the ingredients! take care wor!!
took MRT dwn to jurong only to catch a glimpse of my cousin sitting alone at one corner of the station reading storybook while waiting fer his friends. -.-"
shuttle bus dwn to IMM. maximised our time spent buying all the food for the appetiser of the night: steamboat.
gawd. if steamboat is just a mear starter, can u imagine the dessert for the night with a sweet cherry on top to complete this fulfilling day?
*chuckles* thanks to the efforts of the organisers, jingyi, shawn, samuel, and myself, this whole event is a total success!! loads of smiles, laughters, fun.. everything in the world that ppl desires can be found in the humble house of our class's beloved twins. the emotions of everyone in the house combined, can make even the fiercest woman in the world smile.
basically, from this IMM trip, i learnt something new.
prawn lovers doesnt mean that they know how to choose prawns.
heh. why did i say that?
as you can see, many singaporeans have a great love fer the succulent taste of prawns. no doubt, it is not a rarity to see my claz guys addicted to this highly cholestrol-ed food in which they wouldnt mind dirtying their hands to eat this delicacy, in their opinion.
our dear jingyi here, doesnt know how to choose prawns. assuming that my ears are still functioning well enough, he mistook an old ah pei's prawns selection and assumed that prawns with a sexy curvation is the fresher of all other prawns, in which this is not the case in reality.
the fact is that, the straighter the prawns are, the better it is.
so there we are, happily choosing sexy curvy prawns with the expenses of numbing our hands in the icy-cold 'prawn-only' arena. and our gleeful prawn-choosing spree was strongly disrupted by a family next to us.
eavesdropping was a common problem to every single human beings. jingyi and shawn overheard a mother telling her daughter to choose the prawns that are straight.
jingyi: *stop choosing prawns, looked at me*
me: wad?
jingyi: shd we pour bck the prawns?
huh? like, wth! 700grams and counting!
shawn: so how?
samuel: *stare blankly*
and before we knew it, the prawn-particular jingyi had approached the mother-daughter and enquire more abt choosing prawns.
jingyi: *in chinese* hey! im sorry, how do you choose prawns?
daughter: straighter 1, fresher.
opps!!!
wanting to keep the pride in him, jingyi was deceiving himself by still choosing those sexy prawns. for the straight 1s, he was calming himself down by telling us that the straighter the prawns are, the more abnormal they gets.
hehe. cute boy. no wonder joyce is the one for him. matchmade in heaven ((:
plus, we bought yong tau foo ingredients like no one's business. keep choosing and taking. and not fergetting my beloved meatballs! i'll die in a steamboat not abling to indulge in meatballs!! hehe!!

walked back to jurong MRT station to meet marilyn before heading straight to shawn and samuel's house.
basically, i was of little help there being so early. marilyn was busy complaining about jingyi's efficiency cutting scotch tapes and jingyi was grumbling about how fussy marilyn gets while they both tried using streamers to decorate the house.

i was there in the twin's room, together with samuel, packed goodie bags on his bed and putting candies and chocolates in the bags, as well as help complete to eat finish the excess. heh.

busy decorating the corridor of the twin's house too. we made it like a grand cheapskate reception for the financially unstable, putting streamers, pasting the 2 birthday kid's idol's face on the seat of the chairs outside the house to indicate the place they are suppose to seat.
dont this streamers look like people wearing specs? or according to tianloong, bra? *gasp*
the chairs where the loverbirds should seat. angela zhang is jun's idol. lee hom is tianloong's idol.
balloon was placed to show them our well wishes ((: and a couple drink was also placed on the table before they are allowed to enter.

shawn and me rushed off to lot 1 to get some prank cockroaches, with the intention of scaring the weaklings, namely, the girls, by placing those harmless plastic in the middle of the uncooked veges and meatballs.
but even before every1 was present fer the steamboat, the fake cockroaches almost made me lose my life.
all thanks to shirong.
while i was lazing around reading 8 daes, shirong suddenly threw the cockroach at me. i screamed, obviously unaware of the fact that its fake. all the guys laugh like siao.
and after that, more cases of me screaming at the sight of the fake cockroach. my mind really has no ability to store the fact that the cockroach is just a prank.
shortly after, the loverbirds appear. and the fun officially begins from there.
they were locked outside the hse. forcing them to drink the syrup drink we specially prepared for them, as well as to sit on the seats.
and during this whole process, the favourite songs of the couple was played. yi shi de mei hao for layjun and forever love fer tianloong. ((:
layjun was asked to enter 1st. and was forced to change into a red giordano shirt we specially gotten for her. after that, we locked her up in the twin's room, b4 allowing tianloong to enter and change to the exact same shirt we gave layjun.
and when he was done, and the both of them met..
the room went into hystericals.

and of course, we carefully, discreetly placed our cockroaches into 2 food item, hiding them well from the prying eyes of the feasters.

aww. too many prawns and veges! to think that we thought we bought too much yong tau foo ingredients! all of us turned instantaneous vegetarians n seafood-ers for the day.

and the prawns, the whole 1.058kg of them, was finished by the major prawn lover and his counterpart. namely, jingyi, marilyn.

layjun was traumatised when we asked tianloong to take food for her. poor girl, unspared by the embarassment. but dear girl, see this as what a gentleman should do ok? *winks*
after that filling steamboat, its time to shed the calories by taking a walk downstairs to the park fer games!!

instead of looking at each other's eyes, we cheated. we roll our eyes as if our eyeballs got problem.

after passing the ball, we juz got everyone to take a paper in the bag, which is filled with either forfeits, small prizes, or the 1 and only, Medium prize in which everyone is trying to acquire.

jingyi was grumbling like hell there. cause he got the same forfeit as samuel. pull ears, and look into girl's eyes.
since shirong's exclassmates were also present at the park for bbq, jingyi went to look for his classmate, which happened to be his 1st 3 mths clazmate, to do the forfeit.
he looked mentally retarded. seriously. hehehe *roar out luffing*

and some of us girls went on to prepare for the ultimate: birthdae cake.
and indeed, one of the best preparation i've seen in ages. reason? cause im part of the organisation! ((: *wide grin*
we placed instructions along the corridor, and place glowsticks to lead the birthdae kids to their bday cake.
and even their birthday cake has pranks.

2 cakes. the small 1 is specially bought for the 2 birthdae kids to share. its good to start sharing with each other u know, care and share, good moral value instilled. ((:
and to scare tianloong and layjun off, fangqi, marilyn and i decided to put the small cake at the end of the glowstick.
and claimed that the cake is to be shared by the 15 of us.
with the companion of the cockroaches.
after finalising everything, we purposely drew all the curtains to make the place as dark as possible. even our glowstick had achieve its optimum effect.

shortly, the rest came back from the bball game. and another round of fun begins.
we ushered the rest in and leaving the 2 poor souls outside the house once again. we planned all the whistling and popping of the party poppers and lighting all the relighting candles which gave an additional sparkling effect which burnt my hand. ggrrr.

im back to singapore!! okay its been about two days. im too lazy to blog as i know ill blog for hours. i have seen this coming. tsk!
before the day of my flight, mummy was nagging at me for sleeping late. aaaahh! im talking to sherm and its such a coincidence that he's taking the same day flight as i was! but i didnt get to see him at the airport though. oohh! i realised i forgot to buy him blood. sheeesh! daddy drove mummy and i to the airport before he went for work. our flight was cathay pacific! it was great! the food was delicious i tell you! much better than singapore airlines. they served haagen daaz ice-cream after meals! i had a wonderful flight. besides singapore airlines, i love cathay pacific! ((:
arrived at hongkong in the afternoon. the hotelink bus drove us to hyatt regency hotel - the 5 star hotel. it was huge! and after shopping for days, its the biggest hotel i've seen! the others were about half the size of the hyatt! and their services were really awesome! okay, first day we shopped around tsimshatsui. it's a city in hongkong (refer to singapore's orchard road). and the prices there were quite expensive though, like what you've seen in orchard road. but theres lots of shopping there to be done! and we ate our meals along the streets. at least its better than tour as i heard that they didn't get to eat local foods as what we did! hee. and i tell you, one dish = 2 pax. its like twice as much as in singapore! and the soup was like thrice the ingredients as what we saw in singapore. !!! whats this. and its super delicious. you could simply feel bloated after eating. when you ordered those dishes, you'll get free rice (double the size of in singapore) and soup!
second day we hopped on a tour bus which included a tour guide. we went to hongkong island; repulse bay etc. its all scenery views. but theres a location where i threw coins into the fish's mouth! ahhaha. my tour friends and i started with it and few minutes later, it turned into a big crowd. wahahahaa. so fun man!
hmm. actually we had tim sum there for breakfast once we reached hongkong island. im quite sick of the tim sum cause ive been seeing it at my workplace - fortunate restaurant. boooo. got to know a new m'sia friend chris.. he asked for my friendster. hahahaa. new friend! (: after that, its free and easy shopping. we rushed back to the hotel to meet tony's relative and his sister. they are hongkong-ers! so they brought us shopping at kwon tong - APM (bought a roxy shirt there!) and mongkok! nu ren jie (ladies street) was at mongkok.. lots of crazy shopping were done there (:
third day.. we hopped on a tour bus again to shenzhen. went to window of the world. it is one of the largest popular tourist attractions across the country, exceptionally assembled in the 480,000 sq.m theme pack with sights of the world, natural landscapes, over 130 scenic spots of shenzhen! mummy and i found singapore! hey! we found another merlion!
till around evening we shopped near the train station at shenzhen. bought an espirit wallet, 7 gameboy catridges and 3 mickey mouse watches! back to hongkong, we continued shopping at tsimshatsui and had our dinner (you can call it as supper as its 11pm) along the street. it was... DELICIOUS!
fourth day.. finally we got to wake up late. hahahaa. shopped along the streets near our hotel again. WTO spotted! those rioting! hahaha but no worries.. they are peaceful riots.. according to my daddy. i walked past them, its like just two steps away from me. hurhur.
met up with tony's sister, xuehua and her uncle at the hotel lobby. headed to mongkok again. this time we went to buy wife cake! her uncle left and xuehua accompanied us shopping. theres a langham place shopping mall.. its super huge! take a look at it.. and you'll relate it as a high-rise commercial building. but at there its a shopping mall.. more than 15 storeys. and i saw the longest escalator i've ever seen!
